Milwaukee Habitat ReStore Considering New Location In Wauwatosa
The new ReStore submitted a proposal to build a 27,000-square-foot addition to its store on North Mayfair Road.

Editor's Note: An earlier version of this article stated that ReStore planned to move from its Wauwatosa location. A Milwaukee Habitat spokesperson confirmed that this was incorrect and that the plans submitted to the city were only in research stages. Patch has changed the language of this article to make this more clear.
WAUWATOSA, WI — Milwaukee Habitat's ReStore is considering a new location in Wauwatosa.
ReStore is considering to lease property at 3201 N. Mayfair Road and build a 27,000 square foot addition to the existing property to use as a new store, according an application submitted to the city. Currently the address is home to AtHome and American Freight.

ReStore, operated by Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, is a home improvement store and donation center that sells new and used furniture and appliances at a low price.
The addition would increase the property's 115,000 square feet of developed space, the application said. The new store would have 23,000 square feet of sales floor and 4,000 square feet of back-of-the-house space for donations, storage and employees.

The addition would share the south wall of the existing structure, the application said. Seventy parking spaces and a donation drive-thru area would be added as well.
The business's proposed hours are from 10 a.m. 6 p.m., Tuesday to Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
Habitat is looking at other locations as well as the Mayfair Road property, a spokesperson told Patch.
ReStore has operated at its sole Wauwatosa location at 3015 N. 114th St. for eight years, store director Dominic Jaehnke told city officials.
"We have proven to be a good operator at our existing locations, which we invite you to visit," he said. "ReStore is the most significant single funding source for Habitat for Humanity, and we know we will be very successful at this location."
