Wauwatosa's Weekend Starts with Relay for Life
End your week and begin your weekend with a little giving back at the American Cancer Society's premier event, the Relay for Life.

Sure, you're looking forward to a relaxing weekend – but do you have a little energy left to give to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life?
Think how much better that first moment of kicking back will feel after you've done something good for so many others.
When you walk to end cancer at a Relay event, it's your opportunity to not only honor cancer survivors and remember loved ones lost, but also to raise awareness about what we can do to stay well from cancer and raise money to help fuel the world's largest walk to end cancer.Â
Relay for Life begins at 6 p.m. at Wisconsin Lutheran College, 10200 Watertown Plank Rd. There is still time to sign up and/or donate.

Next, it's market day
Next morning, slip on down to the Tosa Farmers Market, in the Hart's Mills parking lot south of the river in the Village, for some fresh local produce and artisanal prepared foods.Dozens of vendors display their wares from 8 a.m. to noon, and there's always live music, this week provided by the Wild Violets.
The Tosa Farmers Market is one of the few you can eat your way through, with not just produce and provisions but also lots of noshing, as this market allows food preparation on-site, and there's plenty of it.
And while you're at it...
If you're new to Tosa, a visit to the Farmers Market shouldn't end without a stop at the Little Red Store, right across the street (you can't miss it, it's a little red store). This Wauwatosa landmark is the oldest commercial building in the city, dating to its beginnings, and it's been everything from the first general store and post office to – well, what it is now, Wauwatosa's official visitor's center.
It's only open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to  2 p.m., June 1 to Oct. 12, so its overlap with the Farmers Market is serendipitous.  Â
