Winters Kicks Off New Wauwatosa Concert Series
The Ellen Winters Quartet will kick-off the new Courtyard Concerts in front of Wauwatosa Avenue United Methodist Church.

WAUWATOSA, WI —The Ellen Winters Quartet will kick-off the new Courtyard Concerts in front of Wauwatosa Avenue United Methodist Church, 1529 Wauwatosa Ave., with a performance this Saturday, Aug. 24 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The public is invited to this free concert.
Winters, a critically-acclaimed and award-winning vocalist, has been singing professionally for more than 25 years. She has appeared at the Montreux and North Seas Jazz Festivals in Europe; Rocky Mountain Jazz Festival in Banff in Alberta, Canada; Summerfest in Milwaukee; The Dakota in Minneapolis; The Bitter End and Rose’s Turn in New York; and, the Jazz Showcase, Davenport’s and The Skokie Theatre in Chicago. Winters has also performed with Bonnie Herman and Don Shelton of The Singers Unlimited, Darmon Meader of New York Voices and Genesis lead guitarist Daryl Stuermer.
Winters has been honored with awards and nominations from the Wisconsin Area Music Industry for Best Female Vocalist and received the 2017 Best Jazz Artist Award from the Milwaukee Shepherd Express People’s Choice Poll. She was also a cast member of “Comicality 2019” which won the 2019 Footlights People’s Choice Award for Outstanding Special Performance.

Parking is available in the surface lot behind the church off of Underwood Avenue (directly across from the fire station) with easy access to the courtyard on Wauwatosa Ave.
