11 People Have Recovered From Coronavirus In North Shore: Report

Health officials in the North Shore communities say they've triaged and processed more than 360 suspect cases or contacts.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Health officials in Milwaukee's North Shore communities say of the 48 combined cases reported by March 31, officials are monitoring 35 of them.

Of the 48 cases, health officials say 11 people have recovered and are no longer in isolation.

The first case in the North Shore was confirmed on March 13, health officials say.

"There is now evidence of community spread in the North Shore and throughout much of Wisconsin," officials said. "As the North Shore Health Department, we are currently monitoring 35 active cases, and we are also providing active monitoring for high-risk contacts of confirmed cases with daily phone calls."

Health officials in the North Shore communities say they've triaged and processed more than 360 suspect cases or contacts, and performed several large contact investigations, which involves notifying the contacts of their potential risk and educating them on quarantine guidelines set by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
