3 Arrested In Whitefish Bay After Trying To Break Into Cars: Cops

Whitefish Bay police said two 17-year-olds from Milwaukee and one 20-year-old Milwaukee man were arrested after they fled officers.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Three Milwaukee residents were arrested, Whitefish Bay police said, after they were seen trying to break into cars in Whitefish Bay and later fled in a car reported stolen out of Wauwatosa.

According to Whitefish Bay police call logs, officers were sent to a home on the 5100 block of N. Idlewild Ave. just after 4 a.m. on Aug. 11 on a report that three men were trying to break into parked cars in the area.

Police said a 911 caller told them the men were riding in a black sedan that was heading south.

According to police, a patrol officer attempted to stop the vehicle, only to have the driver speed away.

Whitefish Bay police said they pursued the driver's vehicle which did not have any license plates.

Whitefish Bay police said the vehicle was found abandoned at 6th Street and Fiebrantz. Whitefish Bay police said two 17-year-olds from Milwaukee and one 20-year-old Milwaukee man were arrested after police set up a perimeter in the area.

Police said the three were arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent and resisting an officer.
