6 Family Friendly Activities At The Bayshore Town Center In July

GLENDALE, WI — The Bayshore Town Center is the place to be this summer for live music, entertainment, and interactive experiences for the whole family. Here are six family-friendly events that are happening at the center that will get you and your family moving and grooving.

1) Bayshore Sounds Of Summer

Thursdays thru August 15

The free Bayshore Sounds of Summer concert series continues in July with a lineup of local favorites including Panchromatic Steel, Grooveline, and The Keith Pulvermacher Band. Here is the lineup for July:

2) Daley Debutantes Baton and Drum Corps

Friday, July 12 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Bayshore Town Square

Kick off the weekend with a delightful performance by the World Champion Daley Debutantes Baton and Drum Corps, featuring more than 100 members from the Milwaukee area.

3) MYSO Calypso Camp

Friday, July 19 from Noon – 1:30 p.m.
Bayshore Town Square

MYSO offers two levels of traditional Trinidadian steel bands featuring steel pans and other instruments for City of Milwaukee youth. In partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, MYSO also offers a two-week summer camp for youth who want to learn to play steel pans (“Calypso Camp”). The camp’s culminating performance is July 19 at Bayshore.

4) ATHLETA Free & Fun Fitness

Wednesdays thru August 28 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
3rd Level, Port Washington Garage

Bring a friend (or two) for energizing rooftop workouts including CrossFit, WERQ (cardio dance), boot camp, and orange theory sessions hosted by Athleta. Classes are free, and participants receive 20% off one Athleta item following the session. Call 414-906-0495 or view class schedule.

5) Barnes & Noble Storytime Events

6) Orvis Fly Fishing 101

Saturday, July 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Orvis

Sunday, July 14 from 1-4pm at Orvis

Learn fly-fishing basics in one of Orvis' FREE Fly Fishing 101 classes. Perfect for beginners of all ages. Fly Fishing 101 will provide you with free lessons on fly casting and outfit rigging. All ages are welcome to attend, but those under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required, visit Bayshore Events to register for sessions.
