Here's Your Guide To The 2019 Glendale Root Beer Bash

GLENDALE, WI – The Sprecher Root Beer will be flowing later this month as Glendale will host their annual Root Beer Bash at the Richard E. Maslowski Community Park.

The Root Beer Bash will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Root Beer Bash will feature a variety of root beer-themed foods, drinks, and desserts, along
with family-friendly activities provided by over thirty vendors.

Entertainment includes a petting zoo, family bike ride, celebrities, chalk artist, Kid Boogie Down Concert, games, vendors, bounce houses, artisans, live music, a tie-dye factory, and the Root Beer Olympics.

Milwaukee County Transit System will “roll out the bus” with a special bus designed and displayed for the festival. The Love Monkey’s, featuring Nicolet High School’s Alumni, will come back to their “roots” and perform a FREE outdoor concert from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Glendale Police “STOMP OUT CRIME” Run/Walk Fundraiser will kick off Root Beer Bash
at 9:30 a.m. and host a Kids Dash at 9:10 a.m. The race is chip-timed and will use Glendale’s new Oak Leaf Trailhead. Funds will benefit the Glendale Police Department’s Community Outreach Program.

The day’s festivities will also include the Root Beer Olympics from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This fun, outdoor challenge invites people of all ages to compete. Competitors may register the day of the festival.

7:30-8:30 a.m.: Race day registration and packet pickup
9:00 a.m.: Welcome/Announcements/Silent Auction
9:10 a.m.: Kids Dash
9:20 a.m.: Warm-Up by Solful Fitness
9:30 a.m.: 5K Run/ 2 Mile Walk
11:00 a.m.: Race Awards End
12:00 p.m.: Silent Auction Ends
10:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.: Food Trucks and Vendor Booths Open
(Featuring Root Beer-Themed Beverages, Foods, and Desserts specially created for the festival.)
11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Vendors & Activities
(Activities, Bounce Houses, Tie-Dye Factory, Artisans, Live Entertainment, and Vendors.)
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Goodyear Health Center Family Bike Ride (Sprecher Brewery)
10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.: WaterStone Petting Zoo
(Kids can pet and feed the animals...and come meet baby “Root Beer”.)
1 p.m.- 3 p.m.: Kid Boogie Down Concert
(Parents and dids can dance to their favorite hits hosted by DJ Luke Warm.)
3 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Beglan Academy of Irish Dance Performs
6 p.m. - 9 p.m.: The Love Monkeys perform at a FREE OUTDOOR CONCERT
