Koss Embezzler Sue Sachdeva Released From Federal Prison After Six Years
Sachdeva embezzled more than $34 million over a 12-year period as vice president of finance.

SACRAMENTO, CA. - Infamous embezzler Sujata "Sue" Sachdeva was released from a federal halfway house Friday after serving six years of her 11-year sentence.
Sachdeva worked as vice president of finance at Koss Corp and embezzled more than $34 million from 1997 up until her arrest in December 2009. She used the funds to finance her lavish lifestyle, that included designer clothing, jewelry, and vacations.
Sachdeva and her attorney didn't respond to the Milwaukee Business Journal's request for a comment, but it is believed the reduction in sentence was given for good behavior. She was housed at a halfway house in Sacramento at the time of her releasing, after spending time at an Oakland, Calif., halfway house following her 2016 release from federal prison in Dublin, Calif., where Sachdeva requested she be placed because she expected her two children and parents to be living in the area.

The 11-year sentence was handed down at her 2011 conviction, though prosecutors were seeking a 15- to 20-year sentence. Conditions of her conviction also required that she pay a minimum of $500 per month for restitution from the headphone maker.
Sachdeva's Friday release requires an additional three years of supervision by federal corrections officials.
