WHITEFISH BAY, WI — The old adage is that Wisconsin has two seasons: winter and construction season. That statement holds true as the entire stretch of Lake Drive in Whitefish Bay will be undergoing a much-needed facelift.

The Village of Whitefish Bay Public Works Department is under contract with Stark Pavement Corporation for the complete width pavement resurfacing of the entire Village of Whitefish Bay limits of Lake Drive.

Public officials in Whitefish Bay said the poor quality of Lake Drive will cause two main things during construction: bicycle traffic will be prohibited because of the poor quality of the old pavement, and construction work will temporarily make driving lanes much tighter.
