Making Music in Cancun, MX

Levi and Zev Stein of Whitefish Bay were among the 400+ student participants in the 1st Suzuki Convention of the Americas in Cancun, MX, from May 1-6, 2019. Zev, 9, is a 3rd grader at Cumberland Elementary School, and at the convention he was involved in chorus (singing in 3 different languages) and violin group sessions. Levi, who turned 12 while in Mexico, attends Milwaukee Jewish Day School. Levi served as principal violist in the advanced level orchestra, playing Copland's Hoe Down, Barber's Adagio for Strings, La Bamba and two other pieces. 27 countries were represented, and the experience was beyond amazing!
