GLENDALE, WI — A once-popular Oktoberfest destination in the Milwaukee's North Shore is once again open. Old Heidelberg Park at the Bavarian Bierhaus in Glendale has a new look and some new items on the menu, as the park officially opened for summer on Friday afternoon.

In 2016 the Bavarian Bierhaus re-opened the space once occupied by the Bavarian Inn. It features a Bierhall, a brewery, and multiple indoor and outdoor event spaces.

The park will be open every Thursday through Sunday with more than 300 picnic tables spread out over the property. For more than 60 years the Old Heidelberg Park has been used for
Milwaukee's original Oktoberfest and will now be used all summer long, organizers said.
