The Sound of Music Comes to Whitefish Bay High School

Whitefish Bay High School will unveil its production of Rogers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music on Friday night. Â
Maria, a postulant from Nonnberg Abbey, takes on the role as governess in the home of Captain von Trapp and his seven children. Through her zest of life and love of music, Maria brings joy back into this Austrian family. With the help of her wise and caring sisters from Nonnberg Abbey, Maria, the Captain, and his seven children are able to unite as a family, stand up against the rise of Nazism, and start a new life.Â
With such wonderful numbers as The Sound of Music, My Favorite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Every Mountain, and Edelweiss, this night at the theatre is sure to delight audiences young and old.Â

The performances will take place March 1, 2, 8, and 9 at 7:30 PM and March 3 at 2:00 in the Whitefish Bay Auditorium located at 1200 E Fairmount Avenue. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, and $5 for children. All tickets can be purchased at the door.
