Police Track Down Missing 70-Year-Old Whitefish Bay Woman: Cops

Authorities say a missing Whitefish Bay woman was later tracked down on the Marquette University campus.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — A 70-year-old Whitefish Bay woman who went missing on July 3 was tracked down after authorities say she went for a walk and turned up on the Marquette University campus.

According to Whitefish Bay police call logs, officers were called to a home on the 1600 block of E. Blackthorne Place just after 1 p.m. on July 3 on a report that the woman went missing. She left the house at 11 a.m. and had not returned by then, the woman's husband said.

Whitefish Bay police issued a Silver Alert for a missing elderly person and began a search.

Authorities said the woman was found at about 4:30 p.m. that day on the Marquette University campus by university police.

Authorities did not report any injuries as a result of the incident, and the woman was reunited with her family.
