Prom Dress Donation Drive Held at the Library
Donations are being accepted from March 4- March 29th at Whitefish Bay Library or the Whitefish Bay High School Library.

Do you have a dress tucked away in the back of your closet that you know you won't wear again?
If so, your old dress could be donated to the library's first-ever Prom Dress Drive. New or gently used prom dresses, formal dresses or cocktail dresses can be donated from March 4 through March 29th at Whitefish Bay Library or at the Whitefish Bay High School Library.
Brittany Khatib from Whitefish Bay Library said she came up with the idea after seeing other libraries across the country conducting similar programs.

"I read about one and thought it would be a fun project," she said. "It helps girls that may not be able to purchase a dress still have the opportunity to attend prom."
Local high school students can shop from the used dress selection during a prom dress party on April 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library. In addition to shopping for a free prom dress, students can enjoy dessert, movies and more at the prom dress party.
