Residents Urged To Take Precautions Ahead Of Expected Snowstorm
Officials are urging Whitefish residents to take precautions ahead of an expected snowstorm Thursday evening.
WHITEFISH BAY, WI – Officials are urging Whitefish residents to take precautions ahead of an expected snowstorm Thursday evening.
Crews from the Department of Public Works will be out throughout the day Thursday to brine the streets. A Village truck will disperse liquid that will appear as lines on the street. When the water evaporates, it will leave salt on the pavement to prevent ice from accumulating on the streets.
Residents are asked to give village snow trucks and plows room to clear the streets.

- Help the fire department by adopting the fire hydrant closest to your home or business and keep it free from snow.
- Utilize driveway aprons or clear a portion of the parkway for refuse and recycling cart placement. Snow and ice must be cleared around the carts and lid.
