Trick-Or-Treat Canceled, Block Parties Discouraged

WHITEFISH BAY, WI—Although Whitefish Bay was planning to proceed with designated trick-or-treat hours, after further consideration of the current status of the COVID-19 pandemic in Wisconsin, the village will not set official times for the annual event.

Neighborhood level trick-or-treating is also discouraged, and the village will not approve any street closures for October 31 block parties to further reduce gatherings, a statement read.

Instead, residents are encouraged to enjoy the modified, socially distant version of the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation’s Great Pumpkin Festival, which will take place from October 28 to 31 in Old School House Park.
