Village Asks To Move Ahead With Consaul Commons Plans
In 2019, village officials offered the public three preliminary designs for the gathering space, located on Silver Spring Drive.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Public Works officials in Whitefish Bay are asking for approval to move ahead with the redesign of Consaul Commons.
According to meeting documents, Public Works officials will be asking the Community Development Authority on Jan. 27 to approve moving forward with design professional RaSmith to author detailed designs, specifications and a construction drawing proposal in order to move into a construction phase.
"It is estimated that to complete project design through finished engineering plans and specifications ready for bidding, a contract cost in the range of $40,000 would be expected," public works officials said. The estimated construction cost would be $268,000.

Public Works officials say if RaSmith - or some other design service - can be acquired in the next two months, the project can move ahead with construction beginning in 2021 and completing before 2022.
