Village Board Will Select New Trustee Monday

The board will select one of the four applicants who have stepped up to serve the remainder of Lauri Rollings' term, which ends May 2014.

The Whitefish Bay Village Board will select the village's newest trustee Monday night, filling the vacant seat left by outgoing trustee Lauri Rollings.

Four applicants have volunteered to serve out the remainder of Rollings' term, which ends May 2014. The applicants are Tara Serebin, Jay Saunders, Mario Gonzales and Ken Wysocky.

The four applicants are invited to a special Village Board meeting at 6 p.m. Monday to introduce themselves to the board and offer their background and political philosophy.

Rollings is stepping down because she is having her first child, and doesn't believe she will have enough time available to study village matters while juggling first-time parenthood and a full-time job.
