Richards Elementary kids participate in national walk out to remember Parkland shooting victims
Students and parents at Richards Elementary School participated this morning in the national school walkout in memory of the Parkland shooting victims in Florida. A group of us excused our children from school as part of a nationwide walkout to honor the students, parents and teachers in Parkland and in support of legislation restricting guns. We gathered in front of our school, formed a circle, held pictures of each victim from this tragedy, and took turns reading a short biography of each person so tragically lost.
