Week Ahead: Shen Yun, Local Theater and Winter Farmers' Market

Dominican High School and The Bay Players will both unveil their latest productions this week.

Lydell Preschool Open House: Families are invited to take a tour of Lydell Preschool and learn more about its offerings at an open house from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Whitefish Bay Little League Information Meeting: Whitefish Bay Little League will hold its only informational meeting of the year at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. It is only the opportunity to register in-person.

DHS Presents "Fools": Dominican High School’s award-winning Theater Department will debut Neil Simon's comedy, "Fools" on Thursday. The show will run at 7 p.m. Jan. 17, 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18, 7:30 p.m. Jan. 19, and 2 p.m. Jan. 20.

"While the Lights Were Out": The Bay Players will debut its newest production Friday. "While The Lights Were Out" will run January 18, 19, 25, and 26. Cost is $16 for adults and $14 for seniors and students.

Shen Yun Presentation at the Library: Explore the connection of ancient Chinese traditions and classical Chinese dance and music from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 13. Shen Yun performers will be at the Milwaukee Theater February 19-20.

Winter Farmers' Market and Brunch: A winter farmers' market will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at North Shore Congregational Church, 7330 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Fox Point. 

NSPN Event: Self-Advocacy and Self-Determination: Community members with interest in the special educational needs of students are invited to join a discussion about self-advocacy and self-determination on Tuesday.

Laugh It Up Milwaukee 2013: Stand Up to Bullying: Comedians Richard Lewis and Susie Essman from HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm will come to the JCC Saturday night for an event that supports anti-bullying education.
