WHITEFISH BAY, WI – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Whitefish Bay , so you can start planning now.

Thursday Night

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind around 5 miles per hour, becoming calm in the evening.

Annual Parade

Where: The 43rd-annual Whitefish Bay Fourth of July Parade features more than 60 entries and lasts a little more than an hour. Featured entrants include a the Milwaukee Drum and Bugle Corps, the UW Marching Band, McMenamin Irish Dancers, Scottish Pipe Band, the Wacky Wheeler, the Red Hot Dixie Band, the Nicolet Band, Sen. Darling, Rep. Ott, Co. Sup. Wasserman, County Exec Abele.

The Parade route begins on Kent and Silver Spring, east to Lake Drive, north to Klode Park. The parade route is one mile long, and the festival at Klode Park begins immediately after the parade.

When: Parade participants are asked to check in at the table on Silver Spring and Kent Ave, starting at 10:30 a.m. The parade is scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m.

Fireworks Display

Where: Klode Park, 5900 N. Lake Drive, Whitefish Bay

When: 9:30 p.m.

Klode Park Festival

The 2019 Klode Park Festival runs from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 4, 2019. Games, which are 50 cents per play, will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and features a face painting tent, mini-bowling, a fishing game, bean bag toss, a lollipop pull game, an octopus ring toss game and more. The tennis courts will be converted to a sports area with a basketball game, a football throwing game and a miniature golf course.

Festival Schedule

1 p.m.: Flag Raising

1 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Klode Park Games

1 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Food Vendors: Pandls, Saz's, Event Carnival Food, Civic Foundation Soda/Beer Tent, Roman Candle Pizza, Best Kettle Corn, Mini Doughnuts.
