Whitefish Bay Gymnast Gallun, Teammates Have Memorable State Meet
Addie Gallun capped a stellar prep career with three individual state titles, leading the Blue Dukes to a state crown for the third time.
WHITEFISH BAY, WI —Blue Dukes senior Addie Gallun solidified her spot as one of the great prep gymnasts in state history Saturday when she captured three more individual state titles and led her team to a crown at the WIAA Division 2 State Championships at Performance Elite Gymnastics in La Crosse.
Gallun won the all-around (37.700), uneven bars (9.650) and vault (9.700), setting state-championship scoring records on bars and vault. In four years, Gallun won 10 individual gold medals, including four straight on bars and three straight in the all-around. According to the Journal Sentinel, Gallun tied former Whitefish Bay/Shorewood standout Beth Weber with 10 individual crowns.
Gallun's weekend performance helped the Blue Dukes win the team competition with a score of 146.5750, the highest score in either division. This was Whitefish Bay's second straight team title and third in Gallun's four seasons. The Blue Dukes were the runners-up two years ago.

Blue Dukes' junior Kate Graham also played a key role in the 2021 championship effort, notably finishing sixth in the all-around (36.300), earning a medal in that event.
