Whitefish Bay Police Arrest Car Break-In Suspect; 2 At Large

Though police were not able to find the other two suspects, they were at it again about three hours later, police said.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Police in Whitefish Bay say they've arrested one vehicle break-in suspect, but two more suspects got away, and were implicated in a second incident the same morning.

According to Whitefish Bay police call logs, officers were sent to the 5000 block of N. Bay Ridge Ave. during the early-morning hours of June 16 on a report of vehicle break-ins.

Police call logs stated that three suspects were seen breaking into vehicles in the area just after 1 a.m., according to an eyewitness.

Police said they found one suspect, a 17-year-old Milwaukee resident. He was arrested and transported back to his house.

According to police, the same person who called police at about 1 a.m. called at about 4:30 a.m. to report seeing suspects breaking into an unlocked Toyota parked on the street.

Those suspects were not located, according to police. When police spoke with the vehicle's owner, they reported that nothing was taken, and was unaware that the vehicle had been left unlocked.
