Whitefish Bay Police Warn Of Door-To-Door Scam

WHITEFISH BAY, WI – The Whitefish Bay Police Department is warning residents about a scam that where people are visiting homes claiming to be WE Energies employees.

The goal of the scam is for these individuals to gain access to homes, police said.

Police advise residents that if someone comes to the door claiming to be from WE Energies, ask for identification. A WE Energies employee will readily prove their identity, whereas an impost will not, police said. An employee will also wear a photo ID with their name and company logo.

Those with elderly neighbors are encouraged to alert them to this concern.
