Whitefish Bay's Lauko Earns Collegiate Softball Honor
Anna Lauko described as a "tough out at the plate," and "creating havoc for opposing defenses" when she was on the basepaths.

WHITEFISH BAY — Whitefish Bay's Anna Lauko had a stellar rookie season for the Carleton College Knights softball team, and has gained her recognition among one of the best players in her athletic conference.
Lauko, an outfielder Carleton College outfielder, was voted to the All-Midwest Region second team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
According to Calreton College, Lauko’s .436 batting average not only ranked second among MIAC players this season, but it slots her 14th overall in the Midwest Region at the end of the Knights’ season. Her average was good for sixth among outfielders throughout the region and was third-best among first-year players in the Midwest Region.

Not only a tough out at the plate, Lauko also caused havoc for opposing defenses when she was on the basepaths. She accumulated a MIAC-best 24 stolen bases on the season and led the Midwest Region in stolen base per game.

A Whitefish Bay High School graduate, Lauko was a top player in high school. Now it appears she's continuing her excellent work on the college level.
