Miles College Gets Student COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund Grant
Regions Bank has given Miles College a grant for a COVID-19 emergency relief fund for students.
FAIRFIELD, AL — Regions Bank has awarded Miles College a grant for $25,000 in support of President Bobbie Knight’s Student COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund, part of its $5 million commitment in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Support will provide emergency assistance to students with financial need, including housing, food, childcare, transportation, and learning technology.
"Miles College values our enduring partnership with Regions Bank and recognizes Regions as a leader in corporate citizenship in our community," said Bobbie Knight, Miles College President. "Throughout our long history, Regions has offered support of Miles and has answered the call to foster resources to assist our students in their pursuit of higher education attainment."

"Regions Bank is a longtime community partner with Miles College, and, together, we want to support the progress students have made toward earning their degrees," said Leroy Abrahams, Head of Community Affairs for Regions Bank. "COVID-19 presents many challenges, including the need for courses to remain online and for students to have access to the technology they need to build on their education. This grant is designed to help meet both needs as Miles College continues connecting students with top-quality education."
