The funds cover hotel-based and group sheltering, while local and Tribal governments can still apply for Public Assistance by December 21. Individuals have until December 22 to seek FEMA Individual Assistance for personal losses.

Owners in South and Midtown Anchorage describe early closing times, drink limits, and tight entertainment caps that make it hard to compete with bars, while a local legislator from Girdwood and South Anchorage is pushing a modest fix to ease event permitting.
