Over $3 Million Approved to Support Shelter Efforts for Alaskans Impacted by October's West Coast Storms (thetundradrums.com) β€” Anchorage-based FEMA officials have approved more than $3 million for emergency housing to help Alaskans displaced by October’s West Coast storms, including Typhoon Halong’s remnants. The funds cover hotel-based and group sheltering, while local and Tribal governments can still apply for Public Assistance by December 21. Individuals have until December 22 to seek FEMA Individual Assistance for personal losses.
