Barrett-Jackson Announces New Dates For March Scottsdale Auction
Barrett-Jackson's next Scottsdale auction is set for March 20-27 after it was postponed in January due to coronavirus concerns.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — The coronavirus pandemic won't stop car enthusiasts from gathering in Scottsdale this March.
Scottsdale-based Barrett Jackson, a global car auction, announced its dates for the next auction in a news release Wednesday, which will now take place from March 20 to 27. The auction was initially set to take place in January but was postponed. The Goodguys FiTech Fuel Injection Spring Nationals is also now slated for April 16 to 18.
Barrett-Jackson previously held a Scottsdale auction in October with limited attendance.

“We sincerely appreciate the efforts made by the City of Scottsdale to help us return to an auction that will look and feel much like our annual January event,” Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson, said in a statement. “We’re also grateful to Goodguys for their flexibility in moving their March Spring Nationals at WestWorld of Scottsdale to April. Working together, we found a solution that works for everyone.”
Barrett-Jackson and Goodguys have pledged that these events will maintain the integrity fans have known in years past while also putting the safety and health of customers at the forefront. Local and state health precautions will be implemented and Barrett-Jackson will hold several preview days to allow for car viewing with plenty of social distancing.

“After plenty of discussions, we are pleased that we could come to a mutually beneficial agreement with everyone involved,” Goodguys COO Andrew Ebel, said in the news release. “The City of Scottsdale, Barrett-Jackson and local automotive enthusiasts all win with this new schedule. We look forward to putting on a fun and safe event over the new dates in April.”
The city is also hopeful that the events will provide a much-needed boost to Scottsdale's economy, the news release said.
