Here are the top three stories today in Scottsdale:

1. A recent ranking by Forbes has listed Maricopa County Community College District as one of the best employers for women. The district was ranked No. 5 on the list of Higher Education Institutions. The list was compiled using surveys from about 50,000 Americans. Up to 58.28 percent of the district's workforce is women. (AZ Family)
2. The Flagstaff Police Department arrested a man for allegedly kidnapping a 6-month-old baby in Scottsdale. Carlos Umberto Guardado Orellano, 19 years old, for arrested in a Walmart parking lot. The child was rescued without getting injured. Orellano is being transported back to Maricopa County to face various charges. (12 News)
3. Scottsdale families are reminded that rattlesnake season runs through Oct. Recently, a Scottsdale family dialed Rattlesnake Solutions to remove one that was located on the front porch. The crew ended up removing an entire bucket of snakes from the residence after a nest was located. Rattlesnakes will primarily keep to themselves, however. (Fox 10 Phoenix)
