Here are the top three stories today in Scottsdale:
- Scottsdale Airport will be using FAA funds to fix operational bottlenecks. The $5.4 million grant will be used to improve safety and capacity at the airport to prepare for the major events that will be occurring in Scottsdale next year. The biggest improvement will be to a portion of the taxiway and taxiway connectors. (Arizona's Family)
- Chemistry Cultura ad agency has expanded into Scottsdale. The national advertising agency focuses on the Hispanic market. The expansion is reportedly fueled by the city's recent Hispanic events such as the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's annual conference. Chemistry Cultura is the advertising agency for many NFL and business brands. (The Business Journals)
- The Scottsdale Police Department that its Operation Back in Session resulted in 8 arrests. The four-day undercover operation investigated alleged child sex crimes. Jesse Barry, Bernard Camp, Jose Frias, Mohamed Megahed, Jason Michelli, Terry Patton, Lu Reh, and Cesar Sepulveda were arrested during the operation. They face a variety of charges.
