Here are the top three stories today in Scottsdale:
- Scottsdale's new Soap Bubble Boutique is preparing for a busy holiday season. The shop opened in June in the former location of Vitality Oxygen Bar. Soap Bubble Boutique is known for offering 95-100 percent organic soaps and bath bombs. The shop has struggled, since opening, to provide a fully-stocked selection for customers due to supply shortages and shipping issues. (Scottsdale.org)
- Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer reports the county will not be destroying 2020 election data. An email has been circulating that urges residents to request the state's election data before it is purged tomorrow, Sep. 1. Since the email's circulation began, the office has received 173 records requests. The email was started at a recent event hosted by MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell. (AZ Family)
- According to data presented by Maricopa County's Department of Public Health, the number of heat-related deaths has increased since 2006. The data reports that 347 cases have been confirmed or investigated by the department in 2022. The department had only 134 cases in 2019. Review the data at the link. (ABC15)
