  1. The Scottsdale Police Department has arrested Robert Francis Alexander for a fake charity golf scheme. The department received multiple reports about Alexander fraudulently collecting money for the Wounded Warrior Project. The nonprofit had no knowledge of Alexander's activity. Anyone that believes they were a victim of his scheme is asked to contact the department. (KTAR.com)
  2. A short-term rental on 79th Street was severely damaged during a large fire on Monday. The fire was originally thought to have been extinguished but it flared back up. The Scottsdale Fire Department upgraded the response call to a first-alarm response once the hot spot flared back up. The department is investigating the blaze's cause. (Arizona's Family)
  3. Mosquito threats rise in Maricopa County due to a busy monsoon season. The county reported its first West Nile virus death in June and has been testing mosquitos in response. Residents are encouraged to remove any standing water and to wear insect repellent. (AZ Family)
