  1. Scottsdale Community Bank has unveiled its new "Lemonade Stand Microloans" program. The concept is meant for local small businesses. The loans will be offered for up to $25,000 at a time. The bank hopes that the loan program will allow hardworking businesses to get to the next development level. (AZ Big Media)
  2. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office hosted an election safety summit to educate and support elected officials during the upcoming November election. The office hosted the summit on Thursday in an effort to keep track of all election threats. The county's elected officials have been receiving threats since the 2020 election. Officials were given information on collecting evidence of threats to build a solid case against the perpetrators. (AZ Family)
  3. Maricopa Sheriff's Office deputies seized over 50 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop. The seizure occurred on Aug. 11 near Gila Bend and involved Ajo Station Border Patrol agents. The methamphetamine was located in the car's passenger compartment. Charges against the two individuals have been filed. (KVOA)
