Scottsdale Hot Dog Restaurant Tops Yelp List Of Places To Eat

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — A Scottsdale eatery was named one of the Yelp community's top restaurants to visit in 2021.

Simon's Hot Dogs, located at 4280 N. Drinkwater Boulevard, was named one of the Top 100 Places To Eat In 2021, claiming the fifth spot overall and topping the list for all Arizona restaurants.

Other Arizona restaurants included Intentional Food Cafe and Market in Mesa, which earned the ninth spot, Casa Corazon Restaurant in Phoenix, and The Parish in Tucson.

To create the list, Yelp said in a blog post it reached out to users and asked them to submit restaurants they couldn't wait to return to this year. The company's data science team then analyzed all submissions by ratings, number of reviews and volume of submissions, and also took geographic representation into consideration. Yelp called the list "collaborative and passion driven."

Simon's is a Colombian hot dog joint known for its eclectic menu and plenty of vegan or vegetarian options. Diners can choose from toppings like pineapple, mozzarella or crushed potato chips on beef, pork or vegan dogs.

Patch has reached out to Simon's for comment.

The restaurant celebrated the news in a Facebook post, thanking "Yelp Phoenix and our amazing community" for the support.
