1 Dead In Midtown Tucson Hit-And-Run Crash

TUCSON, AZ — A man killed Friday in a hit-and-run crash near 22nd Avenue and Craycroft Road has been identified, Tucson police said.

Michael Damon Perkins, 25, was killed just after 6 p.m., when his Camaro collided with a Hyundai Elantra sedan as both traveled south on Craycroft Road, according to police.

Perkins lost control of his Camaro and crossed three lanes of southbound traffic, before striking the back of a trailer and coming to a stop on the raised median, police said.

The driver of the Elantra fled the scene prior to police arriving on scene, according to police.
