The Jeep Cherokee was traveling faster than the posted speed limit on north Romero Road when the crash occurred, according to police. The pickup was turning left on a passive green light, police said.

Neither driver was impaired at the time of the crash, and the Ford pickup's failure to yield and Jeep Cherokee's excessive speed are considered the major factors in the crash, police said.
