4th Of July: Pima County Fireworks Guide 2021

TUCSON, AZ — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Tucson so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4 near Tucson:

What: City of Tucson 24th Annual 4th of July "A" Mountain Fireworks Celebration

Where: Across downtown Tucson

When: 9:15 p.m., July 4

The city of Tucson's annual "A" Mountain fireworks show is back, with parking available at the Tucson Convention Center's Lot B and C, in addition to $5 parking at the Mercado District lots south of Congress Street, off Avenida del Convento and Linda Avenue. Sentinel Peak Road will close at 6 p.m. on July 3 and reopen July 5, and Mission Road will close from Starr Pass Boulevard to Congress Street at 5 p.m. on July 4, the city said. Additionally, eastbound ramps at Interstate 10 and Congress and Starr Pass Boulevard, and westbound I-10 ramps at Silverlake and Congress will close from 9-11 p.m. on July 4. What: Marana's 2021 Star Spangled Spectacular

Where: Crossroads at Silverbell District Park (7548 N. Silverbell Road, Tucson)

When: July 4 (5-9:30 p.m.)

The town of Marana is bringing back its annual 4th of July fireworks show in 2021, with 25 food vendors, in addition to a splash pad and playground for children to play on. The event allows outside food and drinks, with music played over the park's speakers. The fireworks show is free to the public. Additional information about the event can be found here.

What: Oro Valley's July 4th Fireworks Show
Where: Naranja Park (810 W. Naranja Drive, Oro Valley)
When: July 4 (9-9:30 p.m.)

The town of Oro Valley is once again hosting its 4th of July fireworks show, though this year's event will be a virtual affair. By that, the town plans on shooting off fireworks from Naranja Park, as per usual, though there will be no in-person attendance at the event. Instead, the town has ordered larger than usual fireworks that can be seen from greater distances, allowing Oro Valley residents to take in the show from their own abode.

The town will also livestream the event on Oro Valley's Facebook page via Facebook Live and on the Town of Oro Valley's website. More information on the show can be found here.
