From yoga and CPR classes to new mom support groups, there's something for everyone at Banner—University Medicine this spring.

Banner–University Medicine's new nine-story patient hospital in Tucson officially opened on April 22, and if you haven't stopped by yet, you should! This $446 million facility features 228 private rooms, 20 new operating rooms, new diagnostic imaging and cardiac catheterization labs, a new cafeteria and breathtaking views of the Catalina mountains.
Banner–University Medicine and the University of Arizona have joined forces to ensure the new hospital is equipped with everything needed to provide exceptional levels of care, strengthening their mission to bring responsive, approachable and cutting edge health care to Tucson.

OB Infant/Child CPR Class
Date: May 23
Time: 5:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: BUMC - OB Classroom – 5th Floor
In this class, participants will learn Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques for both infants and children and what to do if your child is choking. Taught by a Registered Nurse, this course gives participants hands-on practice with infant and child mannequins. It's a highly recommended class for parents, grandparents and caregivers. The cost to attend is $20, and participants must be at least 17 years of age to register. Please call 1-800-230-CARE (2273). Walk-ins are not accepted.

Beading
Date: June 3 (recurring on the 1st and 3rd Monday each month)
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Location: BUMC - North Campus Cancer Center, Building One
Get crafty and relax with this fun jewelry making class. Participants receive beads and instructions on how to make simple bracelets, necklaces and more. The cost for this event is a donation in the amount of your choosing. Supplies are provided! Please call (520) 694-1812 to register; walk-ins are accepted to room capacity.
Laugh, Stretch and De-Stress Yoga
Date: June 5 (recurring on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month)
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Location: BUMC - North Campus Cancer Center, Building One
This fun, approachable class is all about making you feel good! The guided gentle stretches — especially designed for people with limitations — can be done sitting or standing. There's no fee to attend, but donations to Patient Assistance Funds can be given to the teacher. Please call 520-694-1812 to register. Walk-ins are accepted only to room capacity.
You've Got This! A New Mom and Mom-to-be Support Group
Date: June 18 (recurring the third Tuesday of each month)
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Location: BUMC North - Third floor, clinic "I" Conference room: #30110
This group offers a safe, confidential and nonjudgmental place for moms and moms-to-be to share, learn and connect. Speakers include massage therapists, pediatricians, health educators and yoga teachers. Attendance is free, but please register online in advance. Walk-ins are not accepted.

Healing Touch Integrative Therapy
Date: June 20 (recurring on the 3rd Thursday of each month)
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Location: BUMC - North Campus Cancer Center, Building One
Healing touch is a compassionate type of energy therapy in which practitioners use their hands in a centered and intentional way to support the human energy. This helps promote healing for the whole person — mind, body and spirit. Each session is $50, and while walk-ins are accepted to room capacity, it's recommended you register online in advance to secure your spot.
