Breastfeeding Support Group
Date: July 30 (recurring every Thursday)
Time: 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

This free weekly support group is open to all mothers who are breastfeeding and/or pumping, and children up to 1 year old are welcome. Each group is led by board-certified lactation consultants who can answer all your questions. Topics covered include latch-issues, milk supply, how to know if your baby is getting enough, breast-care, pumping while back to work and more. Registration is not required.
Beyond the Blue Support Group
Date: August 5 (recurring every Monday except during holiday weeks)
Time: 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Location: BUMC – Fifth Floor – Classroom 504
This support group is for pregnant women and new moms who may be feeling sad, anxious, overwhelmed or disconnected. It provides a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can talk honestly with other women who are having similar feelings and thoughts. The group is free, and no registration is necessary. Babies up to 1 year old are welcome to join.

Stump the Chump: Dementia Q&A
Date: August 7
Time: 9:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m.
Location: BUMC North — Building Two — First Floor Conference Room 10116
This fun, interactive Q&A session is geared towards the community at large looking for answers about memory loss. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask experts from Banner Alzheimer's Institute all their questions. This class is free and registration is not required.

Surgical Weight Loss Information Session
Date: August 12
Time: 3:45 - 4:45 p.m.
Location: BUMC North — Building Two — 1st Floor Conference Room 10116
If you've committed to a healthy diet and exercise routine but you're still not able to reach your weight loss goals, you might want to consider surgical options. Before you can schedule a consultation at the Banner University Medical Center Tucson Center for Bariatric Surgery, you need to attend a mandatory information session like this one. Attendance is free, and although walk-ins are permitted to capacity, registration is preferred.

Moving With Lymphedema
Date: August 13 (recurring on the second Tuesday of every month except holidays)
Time: 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Location: BUMC - North Campus Cancer Center - Building One
This class, which may be done standing or sitting, guides you through easy, gentle movements to help encourage lymph drainage. The fee is $8 per class. Please call (520) 694-1812 to register. Walk-ins are accepted to room capacity.
Healing Touch Integrative Therapy
Date: August 15 (recurring on the third Thursday of each month)
Time: 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Location: BUMC - North Campus Cancer Center, Building One
Healing touch is a compassionate form of energy therapy that helps heal the whole person — mind, body and spirit. During the session, practitioners use their hands in a centered and intentional way to support the human energy. The cost is $50 per session, and registering online beforehand is advised. Walk-ins are only accepted to room capacity.

OB Infant/Child CPR Class
Date: August 22
Time: 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Location: BUMC - OB Classroom – Fifth Floor
This class, taught by a Registered Nurse, is recommended parents, grandparents and caregivers. Participants will learn Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques for both infants and children, and what to do if your child is choking. The cost to attend is $20, and participants must be at least 17 years of age to register. Register online or by calling 1-800-230-CARE (2273) during business hours. Walk-ins are not accepted.
