The City of Tucson doesn’t accept Christmas trees placed in alleys or on curbs.

The TreeCycle sites can’t accept other green waste.

Only the Los Reales Landfill accepts commercial Christmas tree lot overages, at the landfill rates posted.

After this Sunday, Jan. 5, shredded Christmas tree wood chips can be taken home free for garden use, as it will aid the soil in moisture retention. Those wanting some of this “merry mulch” should bring their own container to the Los Reales Landfill.

The mulch will also be available at both Tank’s facilities.
