Construction To Close Country Club Road Over The Weekend

Parts of Country Club Road in Tucson will be closed from Saturday morning through Sunday night to install a new underground storm drain.

TUCSON, AZ — Sections of Country Club Road will be closed over the weekend for construction.

The city will install a new storm drain on the north side of the intersection of Broadway and Country Club Drive, between Broadway and 10th Street, between 4 a.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday, according to a city release.

The storm drain construction process will not impact travel on Broadway in either direction, though those traveling north on Country Club will need to turn east or west on Broadway during the time frame above, the city said.

Motorists driving south on Country Club Road north of Broadway will not be able to drive through the intersections, with detours at Tucson Boulevard and Alvernon Way.

Pedestrians and bicyclists will not be allowed to travel through the intersection of Country Club & Broadway during the time frame.
