Downtown Tucson's Fox Theatre Unveils 2021 Concert Schedule
Downtown Tucson's Fox Theatre unveiled its first batch of in-person concerts since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic Monday.
TUCSON, AZ — Downtown Tucson's venerable Fox Theatre will reopen to the public for concerts in mid-August.
The venue is reopening its doors to the public on Aug. 19, with Miami-based country crossover act, The Mavericks taking the stage.
The Fox Theatre's schedule from there includes Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (Sept. 11), in addition to Amy Grant (Oct. 24), comedian Paula Poundstone (Oct. 28), Atlanta Rhythm Section and Firefall (Nov. 5) and Altan (Nov. 21).

Fox Executive Director Bonnie Schock said the venue's fall schedule provides an eclectic mix of genres, with something for everyone on the downtown venue's stage.
“It is certain to be a fantastic return of music and performance to downtown in the fall – with something for everyone," Schock said in a statement. "So, get ready for exceptional country, jazz, blues, folk and Americana, classic rock, comedy, personalities, lifelong learning, family, and film experiences once again in our celebrated, uniquely Tucson setting. It’s time to return to the Fox!”

Tickets to see The Mavericks go on sale for Fox Theatre donors (those that give $75 or more annually) on May 25, with the general public having access to tickets for the show on May 28.
The rest of the Fox Theatre's schedule will be announced on June 10, with a mixture of rescheduled shows from 2020 and brand new offerings on the docket.
