HHW Changes Drop-Off Hours At Los Reales Landfill
The facility is now open to residents for HHW collection on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The City of Tucson's Environmental and General Services Department (EGSD) collects household hazardous waste (HHW) at the Los Reales Landfill, and the hours changed June 3.

The facility is now open to residents for HHW collection on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 7 a.m.-4 p.m.
The program is free to City of Tucson residents, but anyone outside of city limits will be charged $10. To prove residency, you must show your Arizona Driver License or current utility bill.
Small businesses that generate hazardous waste will be able to drop off materials on Wednesdays, but they must make an appointment ahead of time by calling (520) 791-4183.

EGSD also collects HHW through a monthly outreach event. This event moves around the city and takes place the second Saturday of every month. See the 2021 schedule.
Be sure to check the HHW list of accepted materials before bringing items. Please do not bring CRT monitors, explosives, ammunition, or dried/empty paint containers.
