NCAA Baseball: How To Watch Arizona Wildcats In Super Regionals

TUCSON, AZ — The Arizona Wildcats will play in the NCAA Baseball Super Regionals for the first time in five years this weekend.

The Wildcats, who reached the round after sweeping Grand Canyon and California-Santa Barbara in the Tucson regional last weekend, kick off the best-of-three series Friday night at Tucson's Hi-Corbett Field.

Arizona is 43-15 this season, winning the school's first Pac-12 Conference regular season championship in nine years, which happens to be the last time the Wildcats won a national title in the sport.

The Rebels enter Friday's series opener after winning three of the team's four contests in the Oxford Regional round, beating No. 2 seed Southern Mississippi 12-9 on Monday to clinch a spot in the Super Regional round.

Ole Miss finished the regular season ranked third in the SEC West division, behind No. 1 seed Arkansas and Mississippi State.

Here's what you need to know ahead of the opening game of the Arizona-Ole Miss Super Regional series.

How to Watch: The Wildcats and Rebels kick off Game 1 at 6 p.m. local time, with ESPNU carrying the contest nationally. Tickets for the contest, as well as games on Saturday and (if necessary) Sunday can be purchased here.

Who to Watch: For the Wildcats, keep an eye on freshmen Jacob Berry and Daniel Susac, who have 27 home runs between them, pacing Arizona's offense this season.

It's not official yet, but the consensus is that Arizona head coach Jay Johnson will start Chase Silseth, who led the Wildcats in innings pitched (86.1) and strikeouts (93) this season. The Wildcats will also turn to relievers, like Preston Price, who had an ERA of 2.25 this season.

For the Rebels, keep an eye on senior Tim Elko and junior Kevin Graham, who belted 30 homers between them this season. Pitchers Doug Nikhazy and Derek Diamond will likely be tasked with starting the first two games of the series for the Rebels, combining to throw 148 innings and notching 213 strikeouts between them this season.
