Pima County Board Of Supervisors To Meet With Tucson City Council

The two bodies will meet virtually on Friday to discuss their response to the pandemic, leaving plenty of time for public comment.

TUCSON, AZ — Pima County officials will meet virtually on Friday for a special meeting regarding the area's response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Pima County Board of Supervisors said it will hold a special joint meeting with Tucson Mayor Regina Romero and the city council. The meeting will take place Friday from 10 a.m. to noon and will cover issues associated with the coronavirus pandemic response. The meeting will be conducted virtually.

"Our region is strongest when local government works together," Romero tweeted of the collaboration between the city and county.

The topics set for discussion include:

  • Vaccine rollout
  • Testing
  • Mask usage
  • Curfew
  • Evictions
  • Business restrictions
  • Federal funds appropriated to the state and local jurisdictions

While Pima County residents won't be able to attend in-person, the public can send comments by email to COB_mail@pima.gov.
