The following is a partial list of road construction projects and traffic restrictions taking place in Scottsdale Nov. 1 - 10. For more information, contact Traffic Engineering at 480-312-7250.

Loop 101 improvement project

The Arizona Department of Transportation has begun a project to widen and improve Loop 101 from Interstate 17 in Phoenix to Pima Road in Scottsdale. To learn more about the project and upcoming traffic restrictions, please visit the ADOT’s project webpage, where you can also subscribe to project alerts. Following are upcoming restrictions:

• Hayden Road will be closed at (under) Loop 101 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Oct. 31 - Nov. 1 and from 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5. Detour on Loop Pima Road or Scottsdale Road.
• Traffic in both directions on the Loop 101 between Scottsdale and Hayden roads will is shifted around a work zone in the freeway median while a new bridge is built over the future Miller Road extension. The traffic shift will be in place for approximately one year. There will be no reduction in travel lanes during the shift.

ROAD RESTRICTIONS SOUTH OF INDIAN BEND ROAD

New restrictions

• Northbound traffic on Miller Road will be shifted to the center left-turn lane from McKellips Road to Roosevelt Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Nov. 6 - 15 for road work. During those same times and dates, multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of McKellips Road and Miller Road.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on 75th Street from Indian School Road to Second Street, on Indian School Road from Miller Road to Scottsdale Road, on Miller Road from Second Street to Indian School Road and on Scottsdale Road from Second Street to Indian School Road 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Oct. 25 - Nov. 27 while a new gas main is installed. During those same dates, Scottsdale Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Fourth Street to Indian School Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During those same times, Buckboard Trail will be closed from First Street to Indian School Road, and First Street will be closed in either direction from 75th Street to Miller Road.
• The southbound curb lane on Drinkwater Boulevard will be closed at Brown Avenue 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 pm. Weekdays Nov. 6 - 20 for boring. During those same times and dates the northbound right-turn and middle lanes on Drinkwater Boulevard will be closed at Sixth Avenue.
• A flag person operation will control traffic at Brown Avenue and Second Street 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights Nov. 6 - 13 for road work. During those same times and dates Brown Avenue will be closed from Main Street to Second Street, and Main Street will be closed from Scottsdale Road to Brown Avenue.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Hayden Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Nov. 7 - 22 for utility work.
• The westbound curb lane and sidewalk on McDowell Road will be closed immediately east of 77th Street Nov. 4 - 11 for construction. During those same dates the southbound bike lane and sidewalk on 77th Street will be closed immediately north of McDowell Road.

• The westbound curb lane on Osborn Road will be closed immediately west of Miller Road 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Nov. 4 - 23 for construction work.

Ongoing restrictions

• The following consecutive restrictions will occur near the intersection of McDonald Drive and Pima Road weekdays Oct. 25 - Nov. 8 for boring:
  • The westbound curb lane on McDonald Drive will be closed from Pima Road to Cattletrack Road.
  • Traffic in both directions on 86th Street will be shifted toward the center of the road at McDonald Drive.
  • Granite Reef Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at McDonald Drive.
  • Traffic in both directions on 82nd Street will be shifted toward the center of the road at McDonald Drive.
  • The southbound left-turn lane on 82nd Street will be closed at McDonald Drive.
  • Hayden Road will be reduced to two lanes in both directions at McDonald Drive.
  • Traffic in both directions on 78th Street will be shifted toward the center of the road at McDonald Drive.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Thomas Road and 61st Place 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 31 - Nov. 14 for boring.
• Median and left-turn lanes in both directions on Thomas Road will be closed at Hayden Road Oct. 21 - Nov. 12 for road improvements.
• The southbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed at Orange Blossom Lane 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Nov. 1 - 15 for utility work. During those same times and dates the frontage road adjacent to Scottsdale Road will also be closed at Orange Blossom Lane.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on Camelback Road at 75th Street 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Oct. 24 - Nov. 15 for utility work. During those same times and dates multiple lane restrictions will occur at Indian Plaza and 75th Street.
• The northbound curb lane on Drinkwater Boulevard will be closed at Civic Center Plaza 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 28 - Nov. 22 while a new cellular site is installed.
• Traffic on Exeter Boulevard will be controlled by a flag person operation from 64th Street to 68th Street 8:30 to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 26 - Nov. 9 for boring.
• Curb lanes in both directions on Miller Road will be closed at Main Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 28 - Nov. 8 for fiber installation.
• Traffic in either direction on Camelback Road will be shifted toward the center of the road at 85th Place 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Oct. 28 - Nov. 11 for utility work.
• Southbound Hayden Road will be reduced to one lane at McDowell Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 28 - Nov. 29 for utility work.
• The southbound curb lane on Hayden Road will be closed at McKellips Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 21 - Nov. 5 for utility work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on Roosevelt Street from Hayden Road to Miller Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 21 - Nov. 8 for utility work. During those same times and dates southbound Hayden Road will be reduced to two lanes at Roosevelt Street.
• The southbound curb lane and parking will be closed on Scottsdale Road at Fourth Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 25 - Nov. 15 while a cellular site is installed.
• Northbound traffic on Hayden Road will be reduced to one lane from McKellips Road to Commerce Center Boulevard Oct. 16 - Nov. 16 for utility work.
• Eastbound traffic on Thomas Road will be reduced to one lane from 70th Street to 71st Place 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 21 - Nov. 1 for utility work.
• Osborn Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction immediately west of Drinkwater Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 21 - Nov. 13 for fiber work. During those same times and dates Curb lanes in both directions on Drinkwater Boulevard will be closed at Civic Center Plaza south of Osborn Road.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of 68th Street and Camelback Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 23 - Nov.1 for utility work. During those same times and dates the northbound curb lane on 68th Street will be closed from Monterey Way to 5th Street, and eastbound traffic on Osborn Road will be shifted to the center two-way left turn lane at 68th Street.
• Traffic in either direction on 78th Street will be shifted toward the center of the road from McDonald Drive to Jackrabbit Road 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays Oct. 16 - Nov. 1 for ADA ramp work.
• Southbound traffic on 68th Street will be shifted to the center two-way left-turn lane from Camelback Road to Exeter Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 23 - Nov. 6 for utility work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on Hayden Road from Oak Street to Virginia Avenue 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Oct. 17 - Nov. 1 for boring. During those same times and dates multiple lane restrictions will occur on Oak Street and on Virginia Avenue at Hayden Road.
• Traffic in either direction on 78th Street will be shifted toward the center of the road between McDonald Drive and Jackrabbit Road 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays Oct. 18 - Nov. 1 for ADA ramp work.
• Southbound traffic on 70th Street will be shifted toward the center of the road at Continental Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 18 - Nov. 4 for utility work.
• Southbound traffic on Miller Road will be shifted to the center two-way left-turn lane from immediately south of Chaparral Road to Rancho Vista Drive 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Oct. 18 - Nov. 1 for road work.
• Southbound traffic on Scottsdale Road will be reduced to one lane from immediately south of McDonald Drive to Chaparral Road Oct. 8 - Nov. 22 for utility work.
• The eastbound curb lane on McDonald Drive will be closed from immediately west of Sundown Drive to Cattletrack Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 25 - Nov. 8 for boring.
• The northbound curb lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed from Roosevelt Street to Granada Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays 25 - Nov. 8 for utility work. During those same times and dates McDowell Road will be restricted to one lane in each direction at Scottsdale Road.
• The southbound curb lane on Drinkwater Boulevard will be closed at Third Avenue 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 28 - Nov. 1 for boring. During those same times and dates the southbound curb lane on Drinkwater Boulevard will be closed immediately north of Indian School Road, and the northbound curb lane on Drinkwater Boulevard will be closed immediately north of Indian School Road.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on Osborn Road from 68th Street to Drinkwater Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 7 - Nov. 11 for utility work. During those same times and dates multiple lane restrictions will occur on Scottsdale Road, 70th Street and 68th Street at Osborn Road.
• The southbound curb lane on Miller Road will be closed immediately north of Camelback Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 25 - Nov. 9 for utility work. During those same times and dates the alley between Camelback Road and Minnezona Avenue will be closed from 75th Street to Miller Road.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Hayden Road and Thomas Road Sept. Oct. 3 - Nov. 1 for intersection improvements.
• First Street will be closed from Marshall Way to immediately west of Scottsdale Road June 3 - Nov. 15 for utility work. Detour on Main Street or Second Street.

Upcoming restrictions

• McDowell Road will be reduced to two lanes in each direction immediately east of Miller Road Nov. 11 - Dec. 6 for construction.

ROAD RESTRICTIONS FROM INDIAN BEND TO THUNDERBIRD ROADS

New restrictions

• Traffic on Larkspur Drive will be controlled by a flag person operation between 94th Street and 96th Street weekdays Nov. 1 - 13 for road work.
• Traffic on 90th Street will be controlled by a flag person operation at Pershing Avenue 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Nov. 8 - 22 for utility work.

Ongoing restrictions

• The westbound curb lane on Via Linda will be closed at 108th Street 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Oct. 31 - Nov. 14 for boring.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Del Cadena Drive and Via Linda 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Nov. 1 - 15 for boring.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Hayden Road and Via De La Entrada 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays Nov. 1 - 8 for ADA ramp work.
• Eastbound Shea boulevard will be reduced to one lane from 68th Street to immediately east of 70th Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 20 - Nov. 8 for utility work. During those same times and dates westbound Shea Boulevard will be reduced to one lane at Scottsdale Road.
• Traffic on Sundown Drive will be controlled by a flag person operation immediately north of Shea Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 30 - Nov. 15 for utility work.
• The eastbound curb and right lanes on Via Linda will be closed at 124th Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 30 - Nov. 8 for road work.
• Traffic on Eagle Ridge Drive will be controlled by a flag person operation at Copperwynd Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Nov. 4 - 15 for utility work.
• The eastbound curb lane on Cactus Road will be closed from 76th Way to Sundown Drive 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Nov. 1 - 14 for boring.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Scottsdale Road and Eastwood Lane 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 28 - Nov. 15 while a cellular site is installed.
• Scottsdale Road will be reduced to two lanes in both directions at Eastwood Lane 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 21 - Nov. 15 while a cellular site is installed.
• Curb lanes in both directions on Scottsdale Road will be closed at Cheney Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 21 - Nov. 1 for boring. During those same times and dates the northbound median lane on Scottsdale Road will be closed at Cheney Drive.
• The center two-way left-turn lane on Mountain View Road will be closed from 95th Street to 96th Street Oct. 21 - Nov. 8 for pipeline work. During those same times and dates multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of 96th Street and Mountain View Road, and westbound traffic on Mountain View Road will be shifted toward the center of the road from 96th Street to 100th Street.
• The southbound curb lane on 92nd Street will be closed at Shea Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 21 - Nov. 1 for utility work.
• The northbound curb lane on 90th Street will be closed at Cochise Drive/Scottsdale Healthcare Shea 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 21 - Nov. 1 for utility work.
• The eastbound curb lane on Via Linda will be closed at Cerrito Vista Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 21 - Nov. 1 for utility work.
• The westbound curb lane on Mountain View Road will be closed at 90th Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 21 - Nov. 1 for utility work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on Mountain View Road from 95th Street to 100th Street 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Oct. 21 - Nov. 9 for utility work.
• During those same times and dates multiple lane restrictions will also occur on 96th Street at Mountain View Road.
• Lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of 100th Place and 102nd Street weekdays Oct. 14 - Nov. 2 for boring.

ROAD RESTRICTIONS NORTH OF THUNDERBIRD ROAD

New restrictions

• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on or near northbound Scottsdale Road from Princess Boulevard to Mayo Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 28 - Nov. 15 for potholing.
• The eastbound curb lane on Butherus Drive will be closed at 73rd Street 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Nov. 4 - 15 for utility work.
• Hayden Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Loop 101 to Legacy Boulevard Nov. 4 - Dec. 15 for road improvements. During those same dates left turns on Hayden Road at Loop 101 will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
• Dove Valley Road will be closed at Scottsdale Road 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 4 - 29 for median work. During those same times and dates Scottsdale Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at Dove Valley Road.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Bell Road and 91st Street 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays through Friday, Nov. 8, for boring. During those same times and dates multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of 91st Street and Bahia Drive.
• Eastbound 92nd Street will be reduced to one lane at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 - 30 (except Sundays) for utility work.
• During those same times and dates multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Thompson Peak Parkway and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.

Ongoing restrictions

• Multiple lane restrictions will occur on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard from 100th Street to Loop 101 weekdays Oct. 26 - Nov. 1 for ADA ramp work.
• Traffic in either direction will be shifted toward the center of the road 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Oct. 31 - Nov. 22 for cellular site work.
• The eastbound curb lane on Thompson Peak Parkway will be closed at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 30 - Nov. 8 for utility work.
• The southbound curb and right-turn lanes on Scottsdale Road will be closed at Kierland Boulevard weekdays Oct. 28 - Nov. 15 for sidewalk work.
• Traffic on 112th Street will be controlled by a flag person operation at Feathersong Lane 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Oct. 28 - Nov. 8 for boring.
• The westbound curb lane on Butherus Drive will be closed from 73rd Street to 74th Street 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Oct. 25 - Nov. 22 while a new light pole is installed.
• Eastbound traffic on Bahia Drive will be shifted to the center two-way left-turn lane from 91st Street to 92nd Street 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 21 - Nov. 11 for communications work. During those same times and dates northbound traffic on 91st Street will be shifted to the left-turn lane.
• The westbound right-turn lane on Princess Drive will be closed at Hayden Road 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 28 - Nov. 8 (except Sundays) for utility work.
• During those same times and dates the northbound curb lane on Hayden Road will be closed at Princess Drive.
• Southbound traffic on Hartford Drive will be shifted toward the center of the road at Princess Drive 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 28 - Nov. 8 (except Sundays) for utility work.
• The northbound curb lane on Scottsdale road will be closed at Redfield Road Oct. 21 - Nov. 5 for utility work. During those same dates the westbound curb lane on Redfield Road will be closed at Scottsdale Road.
• The eastbound curb lane on Redfield Road will be closed at 96th Street 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays Oct. 25 - Nov. 15 for utility work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Bell Road and Perimeter Drive Oct. 17 - Nov. 1 (except Sundays) for utility work. During those same dates eastbound traffic on Harford Drive will be shifted toward the center of the road at Perimeter Drive.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Alma School Road and Happy Valley Road 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays Oct. 21 - Nov. 8 for trench work.
• Multiple lane restrictions will occur at the intersection of Redfield Road and 92nd Street 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 14 - Nov. 11 (except Sundays) for utility work.
• The northbound curb lane on Northsight Boulevard will be closed at or immediately north of Butherus Drive 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays Nov. 1 - 8 for trench work.
