Teenage Girl Driving Without License Dies After Tucson Crash

A 15-year-old driving without a license or permit died after her Infiniti coupe crashed into the back of an Audi, Tucson police said.

TUCSON, AZ — A 15-year-old girl died Monday following a two-vehicle crash Saturday night on South Nogales Highway, police said.

The girl, who was driving without a driver's license or permit, died from her injuries at a nearby hospital, according to police.

Two passengers in her car, and the driver of an SUV that the car struck, were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The crash occurred at 8 p.m. on South Nogales Highway near East Valencia Road, according to police.

Witnesses told police the girl was driving an Infiniti G35 coupe southbound in the median at a high rate of speed when the car slammed into the rear of the Audi SUV, sending it through a guardrail and into oncoming traffic, police said.
