Thunderstorms, 50 MPH Wind Expected In Tucson Wednesday; NWS
The Tucson area has a 55 percent chance of rain this afternoon, with winds up to 50 mph expected, the National Weather Service said.

TUCSON, AZ — The first prolonged bout of monsoonal moisture is expected to arrive in the Tucson this afternoon and evening.
That's the summation given by the National Weather Service, which gives the Tucson metro a 55 percent chance of rain.
Additionally, winds up to 50 mph, lightning, hail and localized heavy rain can be expected with the storms that pass through the area, the service said.

Areas around Tucson have better odds at receiving rainfall, with Nogales having a 90 percent chance, while Mount Lemmon has a 76 percent shot at rainfall.

Looking forward, the Tucson area has at least a 30 percent chance of rain each day over the coming week, with a 50 percent shot at precipitation on Thursday, Friday and Saturday expected, the service said.
