TUCSON, AZ — Tucson Airport Authority President and CEO Danette Bewley has a new role in the new year.

Bewley was one of two people named to new roles within trade group Airports Council International - North America's leadership structure.

Bewley, who was named to ACI-NA's Board of Directors, joins Jesus Saenz Jr., director of San Antonio Airport System, in being elected as a leader in the organization.

Saenz was elected as the newest member of the organization's Policy Council, according to a release.

“We look forward to working with Danette and Jesus and leveraging their broad industry expertise and a deep understanding of the unique challenges our industry faces," ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke said in the release.

"With their support, ACI-NA remains committed to our mission to advocate policies and provides services that strengthen the ability of airports to serve their passengers, customers, and communities.”

Bewley has served in her current role in Tucson since 2019, after working in management roles with the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, the Jacksonville Aviation Authority, and the Port of San Diego/San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.

“I am honored to be elected to the ACI-NA Board of Directors,” Bewley said in the release. “More than ever, now is the time for our industry leaders to work together to advocate for a brighter future. I am ready to get to work with my colleagues and look forward to collaboration with our industry stakeholders.”
