Tucson Closing Country Club Road North of Broadway This Weekend
The city of Tucson will close Country Club Road north of Broadway from Friday through Monday morning to install a new storm drain.

TUCSON, AZ — Drivers in midtown Tucson will need to find a workaround over the weekend weekend, as the city will close Country Club Road north of Broadway from Friday to Monday morning.
The closure, which runs from 7 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday, will allow the city to install a new storm drain underneath the roadway.
The project will not affect east or westbound traffic on Broadway, though motorists traveling north on Country Club will have to turn onto Broadway and either take Tucson Boulevard or Alvernon Way as an alternate route.

The city will allow local access only between 6th and 10th streets from Country Club during the weekend.
Construction crews will put up traffic control signage in communities near the road closure area, notifying drivers that the roads are for local access only, to cut down on cut-through traffic, the city said.
